 A person can deal with his emotions, relying on a set of special skills, and he also knows that it is the ability to control personal emotions and make them more adapted to the nature of the situation or the event in which a person exists, and whenever the individual can control his emotions, it is characterized by a specific percentage of intelligence, Called an emotional intelligence.
 Emotional intelligence does not only include knowledge of personal emotions but a person needs to be able to recognize and distinguish the emotions of the people around him, or to better cope with them, and to know the selection of appropriate means to control them, especially when they participate in certain situations, such as: sharing in grief for a loss A dear person or participate in joy; because of success.

History of emotional intelligence

 The earliest studies on emotional intelligence are linked to a set of research prepared by the psychologist Darwin in 1900. He was interested in studying the effect of the level of emotional intelligence on the interaction of individuals together.
In the first quarter of the twentieth century, a group of researchers was interested in studying other factors that affect emotional intelligence, such as: linking the ability to control feelings during exposure to a problem, when a person can solve this problem successfully, then he is distinguished by having an excellent percentage of emotional intelligence In 1983, the scientist Gardner was keen to develop a special theory in this type of intelligence, and he called it the theory of multiple intelligence.

 Emotional Intelligence Models

 The concept of emotional intelligence is generally related to achieving a set of intellectual models within the framework associated with this type of intelligence and these models were divided into the following types:

 Ability model

It is the model that is concerned with studying the ability to perceive different feelings and to integrate them with the nature of thinking depending on the situation, that is, the ability to link emotion with the event that suits it, and the people whose emotional intelligence is associated with this model are distinguished in arriving at an accurate perception of the regulation of their emotions, which contributes to Promote the growth of their emotional personality intelligently, and the application of this model depends on three main steps: awareness, use, and understanding of emotions.

 Mixed model

It is the model that is concerned with mixing a group of individual skills to analyze a specific emotional state, and this model is concerned with studying the following:
  •  Emotional awareness: It is the ability to know personal emotions, and link them with the psychological state, or factors affecting the soul, such as sadness, joy, or others.
  • Empathy: It is the ability to understand and understand the emotions of others, and to ensure that they interact with them in a manner that is appropriate to the nature of their emotions.
